Building a Better Dog Website

Transforming the way we think, and doing it better…

With the growth of online shopping showing no signs of a slump, it was very important to get ahead in the pet market. At Sleepy Paws Dog Beds they realised early on that we needed help but didn’t really understand what for, they used plan web services who are just wonderful in explaining what we need to do and how to go about it. With the Centre for Retail Research saying that 13.2% of all UK retail sales last year we being concluding online and the pet industry at a all time high, we knew we had a big task ahead of us, but were in good hands.

Wise up and take part online

In a very short space of time since the web was formed, the transformation from the high street to buying online has changed significantly. While some people do buy some pets online (against some charities views) the biggest market is the pet market, where most purchases for cheap dog supplies like dog beds and other dog accessories are made without even travelling to the local pet shop. The ever growing prices at local car parks, longer distances and the fact that many of us don’t have the time to drive to the shop makes online pet shops a much easier way to get what the pet owner needs, and also direct to your door!

Basic marketing principles

They knew that having an online presence would take a fair amount of planning, seeing what works and what doesn’t. But also that just having a website doesn’t mean we would immediately be on page one for any chosen phrase, as their is no magic pill that can be taken to beat the competition. Website Design in Portsmouth firm Plan web services did however use some basic principles that are proven to work online, and we are currently working together to build a better web presence and are amazed at what we have already achieved.
